Battlemon
⚔️ Battlemon is an autobattler where you tame, fight, and level up your monsters.
How to Play
- Fight — monsters auto-attack and fire special moves on their own. Your job is to manage the battle.
- Swap — tap a monster on the bench to swap the active monster with a 3-second cooldown. Benched monsters regenerate HP during battle.
- Items — buy potions, full restores, revives, and temporary battle boosters to use mid-fight. Purchase XP boosters to level up your monster.
- Tame — after each victory, tame 1 defeated enemy to add to your team.
- Level Up — monsters earn XP for participating in battle. On level-up, the monster fully heals and increases its stats.
Features
- 🎮 Starter choice — pick 1 out of 3 monsters and preview your enemies before the battle.
- ⚔️ Real-time autobattler — monsters automatically attack and activate special abilities; swap between monsters and use items mid-fight.

Battlemon is a fun little monster-tamer autobattler. I immediately got the loop: choose a starter, let fights auto-resolve, swap from the bench, buy potions/items, tame one defeated monster after each win, and keep pushing waves. The type matchups give you something to think about even when attacks are automatic, and the mobile portrait layout is clean and easy to read.
What worked well for me:
- Clear starter choice and elemental counterplay
- Taming after victories gives a satisfying collect-and-rebuild loop
- Sound effects are punchy and make battles feel better than a silent prototype
- UI is intuitive once you understand Items / bench swap / level-up purchases
Suggestions from my playthrough:
- Balance purchased level-ups. Buying levels became an exploit: my team outscaled wave enemies so hard that later fights stopped being interesting.
- Add meta-progression or a clearer run reward. As a roguelike-ish endless mode, finishing/restarting currently mostly gives amusement rather than lasting progress.
- Add an in-game audio mixer. The music/SFX were loud overlapping at times and the mute control wasn’t enough while recording commentary.
- A desktop/widescreen layout would help PC players a lot; the vertical frame is great for mobile screenshots but feels cramped on a monitor.
- Clarify whether bench monsters regenerating HP is intentional, and make item value scale better with later waves so potions stay relevant.
Overall, this is a charming Craftpix jam autobattler with a strong “level up” fantasy. Tighten the economy/scaling and it could become a really addictive short-run monster battler. Great work, remarkablegames!
Thanks for playing and leaving the detailed feedback! You're right about the scaling needing to be rebalanced, I plan to fix it after the jam.
great game! I think the level up purchase in the shop needs balancing though as my guy was lvl 123 fighting level 15s hah
Thanks and you're absolutely right! I'll push an update after the game jam to replace "Level Up" with a fixed "XP Boost" in the shop.
